Know-your-counterparty & anti-money-laundering

Every counterparty is subject to know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money-laundering (AML) due diligence before any engagement. We verify identity, beneficial ownership and standing, and we decline relationships that fall short of our requirements.

Source of funds & provenance

We assess the source of funds on the buy side and the provenance and chain of custody of metal on the sell side. Investment-grade metal is verified for purity and origin, with documentation maintained throughout.

Sanctions screening

Counterparties and transactions are screened against applicable sanctions and watch lists. We do not transact where doing so would breach any applicable sanction, embargo or restriction.

Vetted counterparties only

Velaro engages exclusively with vetted refiners, vaults, carriers, buyers and sellers. Relationships are built over time and held to a consistent standard of conduct, confidentiality and reliability.
